Dick Cheney, Dick Cheney

"It's no accident," the Veep likes to say, that we haven't been attacked in almost six years since 9/11.

That's some specious bullshit, Dick. The first attack on the Twin Towers was in 1993 and the next one occurred EIGHT years later. So was it an "accident" that we weren't hit in those years?

More Dick Cheney BS

There's a disconnect -- I kinda hate that word but I'm too lazy to crank up my inner thesaurus -- Dick Cheney and others of his ever-shrinking ilk like to take credit that the country hasn't "been hit" since 9/11 because we're fighting them "over there." Well, if these "plots" (Fort Dix, JFK pipeline and others) are real then there's a hole in the Dickster's logic, no? They shouldn't be here trying, right? They should be plotting stuff over there.

So... Law enforcement is (allegedly) doing its job by uncovering these plots but these efforts also demonstrates the fallacy of Cheney's assertion that we're fighting them over there. If we believe the FBI and Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, the terroroists are fighting here. (Lamely, but fighting nontheeless).

So, which it it, Dick? Do terrorists have to be "successful" in their plotting before we admit they're already fighting here. Or are those plots just a bunch of bullshit?
rockaway.
